Haley
…is a NYC-based director whose work blends the absurd, the surreal, and the darkly comedic. She began her career as a Local 600 camera assistant, spending years on sets that trained her eye in the technical and creative fundamentals of filmmaking. In her spare time, she directed a body of narrative shorts and music videos.
Her directing work spans fashion, music videos, commercials, and branded content, bringing a distinctive sensibility shaped by her love of Czech New Wave cinema and its irreverent, subversive spirit. Her projects lean into the uncanny, embracing surrealism and black comedic undertones to explore the strange texture of everyday life. She is currently developing her first feature-length film while working on scripts for two micro-features.
When she’s not on set she is probably… sewing (a costume for a music video probably), baking something, reading a book, or rummaging through an estate sale. She would probably love to speak with you about the egocentric tendencies of conspiratorial thought.
Haley’s works have been selected to be a part of Atlanta Film Festival, Alma Harel’s Free the Work, New York Screenplay contest, Post Trash, Immersive Atlanta, Voyage ATL, Yallywood Film Festival, New Mavericks Film Series, Bowery film festival, Wonderroot Film Series, Katra Film Series, and Film Shortage.
